About Me
I'm Barbara Newman — a Counselling Psychologist by degree, a Registered Psychotherapist and Coach by profession, and currently a doctoral candidate in a program focused on improving performance. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping hundreds of people move toward clarity, confidence, and real change, both as a therapist and a coach.
What drives my work is a belief that support should be both effective and engaging. I like to think outside the box — always searching for solutions that are not only evidence-based but also meaningful in today’s fast-paced, modern world. Therapy and coaching should spark curiosity, offer creative strategies, and yes, even include moments of fun. Because in my view, change isn’t something to fear — it’s something to enjoy. It opens doors, shifts perspectives, and helps us build lives that feel more like our own.
I hold a BSc in Psychology and an MA in Counselling Psychology. I’m a certified ADHD coach, a trained sibling therapist, a Level II Gottman Method couples therapist, and a specialized coach for teen well-being. Whether you’re navigating stress, relationships, motivation, or personal growth, I bring a mix of compassion, structure, and a genuine excitement for helping you move from where you are to where you want to BE.
